Revolutionary Thoughts
Just a couple of cool quotes from ‘Jesus Freak’
All true martyrs are revolutionaries but not all revolutionaries are true martyrs.
Jesus came to comfort the afflicted. He also came to afflict the comfortable.
Christians become true revolutionaries when they realize that there is only one truth worth fighting for, and that truth is the only thing truly able to set people free. They would rather die that deny that Truth, but even more they are willing to forsake comfort for the privilege of living for that Truth and representing it to their world.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has surnamed himself Truth, no custom.

you're absolutley right. the martyr's faith is in action long before he must die for the cause he advocates. long befor they lost their life, they decided that life itself already held nothing to compare with the advocation of their belief.
The question is: where do we stand with Christ Jesus? how important is the great comission to us? of what worth is our focus on the world for God? and what are we willing to sacrifice personally? wife? children? home?
It's simple to say that we are willing to sacrifice a house or other comforts, Christ calls us to sacrifice much more. "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?" perhaps its also why Paul encouraged people to remain single.
Anyway, your post intrigued me and I wanted to write some of the thougths running through my mind.
That's a great story. Waiting for more. »
